What Is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

I draw on the latest thinking and research from the fields of neuroscience and solution focused psychotherapy, and combine it with the relaxing state of hypnosis, to help you to succeed. It is a collaborative process and it is important to understand that change happens because you want it to and because you are prepared to take the necessary steps to allow it to happen.

Hypnosis - A Natural State

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind, one which we slip into on average every seven minutes. It is when our mind wanders, daydreams or focuses on something like watching television or a good book. It is the state that we are in when we are driving along a familiar route 'on autopilot'. Although we feel nicely relaxed in this state, it is in fact a time when our brain is working extremely hard, much,much harder in fact than when we are concentrating on something like a maths exam! Hypnosis itself reduces anxiety, and when we are in this state, our brain is creative and solution focused, and is open to positive suggestion. We can use this to our advantage to help you change unhelpful thought patterns and to achieve your goals
